ABOUT  ME

I am Camille Brignolle. I am a native French speaker and I have lived in the UK for more than 15 years. I am an experienced linguist with 16 years’ experience in education in various teaching and managerial posts in the UK and abroad.

This career has enabled me to acquire and develop an array of skills to lead projects successfully from beginning to end.  Languages have always played a central role in my career and as such I have developed an eye for detail and I take pride in producing well-crafted texts. To pursue a career in translation, I completed an MA in Specialised Translation (English to French) with  Distinction.

My approach

Each project is unique and I make it my priority to meet the needs of my client through a personalised approach. Understanding the client’s needs and the audience’s expectations are key to producing an effective translation. My diligence, curiosity and versatility allow me to engage in translation projects with confidence and insight. I am specialised in development, education, food, travel and tourism as well marketing and transcreation. Since I can remember I have been collecting children's books written in French and English and naturally I would love to contribute my translation skills to this area.

Recently, I have been involved in subtitling projects for the media, translating documents for UN agencies for a range of development issues and website localisation.
